Established in 1922 by Martin Fichtner, Fichtner has been evolved from an at first regionally focused engineering office into Germany's largest independent firm of consulting engineers of international standing.

The Fichtner Group, with its subsidiaries and associated companies, has more than 1,600 employees worldwide, of whom the home office in Stuttgart employs over 300 experienced engineers, economists and management consultants in a wide variety of specialist fields.
